Pediatric Gastrostomy Tube

The following video was created to help you learn how to take care of your child’s gastrostomy feeding tube.  The information provided is meant to give you an understanding of how to take care of the skin around the tube, how to give a feeding and medication, and how to change out the tube, if your child has the type that you can change.  During your child’s hospital stay, the nurses will give you hands-on teaching using this same information in order to prepare you for discharge.

Please contact your GI case manager if you have questions or concerns about your child’s feeding tube.
